Fall is always a season of transition, and this year that transition is more evident than ever. We have endured so much in 2020 and the collective energy of trauma, exhaustion, anxiety and fear of the unknown is palpable.
In Aryuvedic science, fall holds the qualities of dry, rough, windy, erratic, cool, subtle, and clear. Rooting down, or grounding, is more important than ever - including building practices that help you to feel more connected to earth, more stable and more rooted in your self and connected to the collective.
In this workshop we will journey inward, quieting the mind and preparing for hibernation. We will also stoke our inner flame and build rituals to nourish us during this time.
What you can expect:
Yin & Slow Flow Yoga Practice
Guided meditation and journal prompts
Coaching to build grounding practices and rituals
NOTE: This workshop is open to all levels. Plan on wearing loose clothing for movement and bring a journal or notebook to write. A list of suggested props (including household items that you can use in place of official yoga props!) will be emailed to all participants.
Classes are donation based, pay what you will. Suggested donation for workshops is ($0-100). You will receive a Zoom link with registration.
50% of the donations will given to nonprofits advancing justice. In honor of LGBT history month, October’s organization will be SMYAL, an organization in DC that supports and empowers LGBTQ Youth. Donations can be made:
