Yoga for Turbulent Times

Yoga is the practice of "yoking," or connecting, the mind, body and soul. Connecting with our body's innate wisdom allows us to be better resourced and resilient for what lies ahead.

This will be a virtual, hour long yoga class inclusive of meditation and pranayama (breathing exercises). You do not need any props or even a yoga mat, just some space to move your body and anything that may make you feel supported. This is my first time teaching virtually, so we will learn together in community as we collectively heal.

We will open the Zoom meeting 15 minutes before class starting should people want to meet and chat before we begin.

Click to register.

Cost: FREE but registration is necessary. Registrants will receive email with link and password.

If you would like to use “props” - here are some creative prop ideas to use at home:

  • Yoga Mat: Beach towel

  • Blocks: sturdy shoe box, stack of books

  • Bolsters: pillows, blankets/sheets stuffed inside of a pillowcase, couch cushion

  • Blankets: Towels, blankets

  • Strap: scarf, robe tie, belt

  • Little extras: hand towel as an eye pillow, tennis balls or something similar for fascia release/massage
